Karen Cochrane

Karen Cochrane, the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, brings her experience as a mother and grandmother to her role. She is a qualified peer support worker with HNC and SVQ qualifications in social care.

Her expertise is rooted in her work with incarcerated women, the homeless, and individuals facing substance misuse challenges.   As the founder of Just Us, an influential women's organization, Karen has played a key role in establishing PAR.

Initially formed as a community group in 2015, it became a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) in 2020, which she co-founded.  In addition to her professional commitments, Karen is passionate about travelling, interior decorating, and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
